South Carson Street opened following roll over

Print Comment
The northbound lanes of Highway 395 were opened at about 5 p.m. following a roll-over accident involving a semi truck and trailer at the bottom of Spooner Summit.

According to reports from the scene, the semi carrying a load of bottled water lost its brakes, ran through the intersection and took out a street post before careening over the bank near Frontage Road on the east side of the highway.

The driver had to be removed from the cab of the truck. Police are closing the northbound lanes of South Carson Street between the intersection and Clearview Drive while a Cal Star helicopter lands to pick up the victim. The accident happened at 12:36 p.m.

Updates will be posted as more information becomes available.
