Best of Carson City
How does it work?

The Best of Carson City awards program is a three-phase selection process.

The community determines who will be in the Best of contest by submitting the names of organizations that should be included in each category. This phase ensures diverse participation and helps identify top contenders. Daily nominations are permitted, with a limit of one nomination per category per day. Since the businesses with the top number of nominations get through to the voting phase, local organizations should encourage their members and customers to nominate them. Making nominations is crucial and helps ensure high-quality finalists.

Once the nomination period is over, there is a pause while all of the nominations are counted.

The community determines who wins the Best of contest by voting for them in the voting phase. The businesses and organizations with the most nominations advance to the voting round. We encourage every member of the community to make their choices for the "best" during the this phase. Businesses and organizations should remind their members and customers to vote.

Once the voting phase is over, there is a pause as the votes are counted. We take great care to ensure that all votes are valid using IP address and other methods.

Once all of the votes have been tallied we celebrate the winners of each category.

The top three winners in each category are announced at the Best Of Carson City awards ceremony and in the Best of Carson City magazine which is distributed to subscribers of Nevada Appeal, as well as on this web page.
