Rotarians to learn about beneficial electrification

Beneficial Electrification is becoming a hot topic. It’s a term for replacing fossil fuel use with electricity in an effort to reduce emissions and energy costs. Members of the Rotary Club of Carson City will learn more about the idea at the club’s next meeting. The public is invited to attend that takes place Tuesday, March 28th, at noon, in the Brewery Arts Center’s Grand Ballroom.

A winter weather advisory is in effect from 4 a.m. to 10 p.m. Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service in Reno. Gusty winds and snow accumulations on valley floors between 2 and 6 inches are expected.

Due to weather-related conditions, all schools in the Carson City School District will be closed for the entire day Thursday, January 11, 2024.
