Oldsmobile Scramble set for Dayton

The Oldsmobile Scramble, the world's largest amateur golf tournament, will conduct its Northern California sectional championship on Monday, Aug. 13 at Dayton Valley Country Club.

Sponsored by Michael Hohl Oldsmobile, 20 five-person teams consisting of four amateurs and one PGA club professional will tee off at 8:30 a.m. in a shotgun start. Teams will compete in a modified scramble format with two teams, one gross, one net, advancing to the Oldsmobile Scramble National Finals. The national finals will take place Oct. 3-7 at Disney World.

Each team in the sectional event advanced by winning their local Oldsmobile Scramble tournaments.
