A celebration of life for Susan Kay Moe, 50, a Carson City resident for the past 25 years, will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Genoa Community Church with long-time friends The Revs. Stephanie and Michelle Gabler officiating.
Mrs. Moe died Aug. 11, 2001. She was born Feb. 4, 1951, in Santa Monica, Calif., to Peter and Mollie Mauss.
She married Ronald Moe in 1983.
Mrs. Moe worked for the Carson City School District as a bus driver preceding her illness. She worked for the House of Fabrics for many years, which enhanced her talent for sewing and crafting her unique teddy bears. Prior to becoming a homemaker, she was employed in the casino industry.
She was preceded in death by her mother.
Among her survivors are her husband Ron, son Matthew and daughter Corie, all of Carson City; father Peter Mauss of Camarillo, Calif.; sister Marilyn Jayne of Gardnerville and nieces Kim Stevenson of Sacramento and Karrie Cole of Coronado, Calif.
Capitol City Cremation and Burial Society is in charge of arrangements.
