Roberta E. Cave, 88, a longtime Carson City resident, died Aug. 24 at her residence. Private family services will be held.
Mrs. Cave was born Jan. 4, 1913 in Spokane, Wash. She attended Southern Oregon University in Ashland, and the University of Utah. She had a lifelong interest in books and gardening.
Prior to living in Carson City, she was a resident of Elko.
Mrs. Cave owned her own real estate office in Carson City for 20 years. She retired in 1998. She and her husband W.W. "Woody" Cave owned two motels in Elko, and Mr. Cave maintained a construction business in addition to ranching interests in the Klamath Falls, Ore. area.
Among her survivors are her husband Woody of Carson City; children Betty Gruell and Kress Cave of Carson City, Arline Sala, Marc Cave and Curk Cave of Reno, seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
The family would like to express their gratitude to St. Mary's Hospice of Northern Nevada for their comforting assistance.
Capitol City Cremation and Burial Society is in charge of arrangements.
