The Carson Valley Eclipse 16 and under softball team went 2-1-1 over the weekend in a tournament at South Tahoe.
The Eclipse opened with a 9-3 win over the Crusaders. Stevie Smith pitched a no-hitter, allowing three unearned runs.
Tasha McCann went 3-for-3 with two runs, Smith was 2-for-2 with a double and an RBI, Kelly McKinnon was 2-for-2 with a double and two RBIs, Ashley Arneson and Kristi Olsen each doubled and had two RBIs and Ashley Coleman went 2-for-2 with a double and two RBIs.
The Eclipse came back to tie the Young Guns 2-2. Katie Pagen struck out six over six innings in a complete game effort. Pagen was also 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI and Smith and Missy Kaplaw each added hits.
The Eclipse finished pool play with a 4-0 win over the Northern California Elite. Jodi Gonzales pitched a three-hit shutout. Pagen had a hit and two runs, Smith had a hit and and RBI and Ashley Hartley had a hit and a run.
In the single elimination championship round, the Eclipse lost to the Stompers 5-2. McCann had a hit and two RBIs, McKinnons and Smith each had a hit and a run and Hartley added a hit. Pagen also struck out two over the final 1 1/3 innings.
The Eclipse's next tournament will be Sept. 15 and 16 at Sparks.
