Not surprisingly, Carson Country players were well represented on the all-Sierra League boys and girls soccer teams.
Among the top players honored in girls soccer were Erin Stieber, who was chosen as the Offensive Player of the Year, Tracey Hawks of Douglas, who was the Midfielder of the Year and Carson's Allison Kop and Douglas goalie Ashley Sulprizio, who were selected as the co-Defensive Players of the Year.
In boys soccer, Carson's Aaron Satterwhite was named as Offensive Player of the Year.
In girls soccer, Douglas midfielder Kali Schmidt was also named to the first team. In boys soccer, Carson midfielder A.J. Bergantz and Senator goalie Sean Carter were named to the first team.
Second team choices in girls soccer were forward Amber Gwinn and midfielder Jessica Girdner of Douglas and midfielder Allison Williamson and goalie Krissy Rose of Carson.
In boys soccer, forward Jesse Steele, defenders Landon Roser and Jesus Cid and midfielder Kirkwood Harris of Carson and Douglas goalie Nate Gardner were named to the second team.
Honorable mention choices in girls soccer were Carson's Ericka Landis and Abby Aldrich, Kirstie Gearty and Kelsey Newell of Douglas. In boys soccer, Chris Bargman, Cody Krueger and Derek Dimitri of Douglas were honorable mention choices.
In the High Desert League in girls soccer, Galena's Amy Jackson was the co-Offensive Player of the Year while Galena's Sean Canty was the Coach of the Year.
Also honored on the first team for Galena were forward Annie Baxter, midfielder Patricia Garrick and defender Tiffini Thomas. Midfielder Megan Baumbach was named to the second team. Honorable mention choices were Breanne Kephart and Jayleen Chen.
For Galena in boys soccer, midfielder Mike Weiland was a first team choice. Midfielder Danny Carew made the second team. Honorable mention choices were Jason Hedrick, Kevin Clement and John Davis.
