Nothing has changed for the Carson High School inline hockey team. The Senators played another Sierra In-line Hockey League game Saturday afternoon and left the Pony Express Pavilion with another win.
Carson, undefeated league champions in each of the last three years, improved its record to 2-0 by rolling to a 13-1 victory against Reno behind seven goals from Martin Ellis.
It was the second impressive performance in as many weeks from Ellis, the 5-foot-10 senior who scored eight goals in an 18-0 season-opening win against South Tahoe last week.
"He's our horse; he's the best player in the North," Carson coach Steve Constantino said of Ellis. "He's our captain, he plays offense and defense; he does it all."
Senior defenseman Jon Myles contributed scored two goals and Bryce Burgess scored once for the Senators. John Elder was also a standout on the defensive end, while Buck Stetler and Jonathan Knight divided the goalkeeping duties for the second week in a row.
Carson plays again next Saturday at 3 p.m. against Bishop Manogue at the Pony Express Pavilion.
