Carson City Library staff will assist Santa this holiday season by accepting new, unwrapped toys in lieu of overdue fines from Monday, Nov. 27 through Saturday, Dec. 2. The toys will be donated to the annual Marine Corps' "Toys for Tots" program. Disadvantaged area children will receive the gifts from the Marines this holiday season.
Amnesty Week will provide patrons with an opportunity to have overdue fines cleared in exchange for a new, unwrapped toy. Fees for lost or damaged materials are not included in this drive.
