Pathways Charter High School, located at 1545 N. Fifth St., is conducting a community meeting at 6:30 p.m. Thursday to discuss Carson City's first charter school that will open its doors to students on Sept. 14.
Pathways Charter High School is a highly structured program designed to serve Carson City's at-risk male youth who are experiencing difficulties succeeding at the comprehensive high school or the alternative school. Transportation services will be provided to and from the school site.
Pathways Charter High School is accepting enrollment and will start school with enrollment up to 24 students. Interested parents and students should attend the community meeting or contact John Fry, principal, at 782-7191, ext. 35. Enrollment information can be picked up at Carson City Juvenile Probation or the Rite of Passage administrative office located at 1561 Highway 395, Minden.
