Thirty members from the Carson High School Class of 1960 came together in Carson City on June 24 to celebrate their 40th year high school reunion.
Residents from that class sponsored a picnic at Ross Gold Park and former classmates came from as far away as Alaska and Washington, D.C., to participate.
Friends swapped old stories, new family pictures, and what-are-you-doing-now freely as they renewed acquaintances with old friends whom they had not seen for 40 years.
Many of those attending, having had successful work careers, are now enjoying retirement and many more are nearing their retirement status.
Those who returned to Carson City for the reunion remembered the town as a place of growing up during the 1950s and early 1960s, the true "American Grafitti" setting that will stay as a fond place in their hearts forever.
