Law enforcement officers from Carson City are on the lookout for a man they believe was involved in a rape Sunday.

Roberto Gomez, 34, is believed to be in Northern Nevada, said Chief Sheriff's Deputy Scott Burau. If caught, Gomez will be held on $100,000 on a Carson City warrant.

The alleged incident occurred at 4:02 p.m. in the 3200 block of Northridge Drive. It was reported as a kidnapping and sexual assault.

Gomez is described as Hispanic, 5 feet, 8 inches, 135 pounds with a 3-inch scar on the left side of his face. He is not known to have a permanent address, Burau said.

Investigators believe Gomez knew the victim.

Anyone with information can call the detectives division at 887-2020 ext. 1400.
