The Douglas County Parks and Recreation Department in association with H.I.T.S. Horse Show Jumping will be sponsoring Kids Day, Sunday from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at 1901 Hwy. 395, Stockyard Road, Minden.
Activities will include pony rides, inflatable jumpers, clowns, face painting, arts and crafts, hobby horse racing, a petting zoo, hay rides, raffles and demonstrations from the Fire Department, DC Mounted Posse, Sierra Riders and the DC Pony Club. Then stay and watch the $50,000 EMO Grand Prix Horse Show Jumping Competition at 1 p.m.
Admission and all activities are absolutely free to all children 12 years and under. Adult admission is $5 for Grand Prix Sunday with all proceeds benefiting local charities.
