Kiwanis Club of Carson celebrates 41st anniversary, inducts two new members

The Kiwanis Club of Carson City celebrated its 41st anniversary by inducting two new members, Dr. Carol Luce and Peggy Pruitt, on Sept. 21.

On Sept. 26, Division 45 Lt. Governor Pat Matheson installed the following new officers for 2000-2001: Ron Bowman, President; Ray Frederick, President Elect; Bryan Bibee, Vice President; Lin Nary, Secretary and Dan Nevin, Treasurer. Their terms begin Oct. 1. Alice Magdaleno, Secretary for the past six years, was recognized for her outstanding service. President Ron Bowman presented the Kiwanian of the Year award to Ken Beaton, Publicity Chairman. As part of his comments, Ron Bowman thanked all the Kiwanians for their hundreds of volunteer hours.
