With reference to the war on E. coli article in the Nevada Appeal on July 4, that certainly isn't the worst thing going on in U.S. slaughterhouses today.
The biggest slaughterhouse in the country is located in Wallula, Wash. They can process over 1,000 cows in four hours. In order to do this, many of the animals are dismembered alive.
What is the hurry? Are we eating that much, that fast? Try Prov. 23:20. So much for our diet.
The silly Washington "humane slaughter" law calls it a misdemeanor and exempts the processor from its requirements for up to six months for hardship. It doesn't specify whose hardship.
The even sillier Nevada law doesn't mention "humane slaughter" at all. I think I'll go veggie.
Wonder where they get the employees to do this kind of stuff? NAFTA maybe?
