An alleged sexual encounter between a 37-year-old woman and a 15-year-old boy resulted Tuesday in the woman's guilty plea on a misdemeanor disorderly conduct charge.
Lois Jean Brand was originally arrested for suspicion of lewdness with a child, false imprisonment and obstructing a peace officer. According to reports, she trapped the boy in her Como Street home and would not let him leave until he allowed her to touch him sexually.
Brand was reportedly combative during the arrest, attempting to ward off the officers three or four times and refusing to give her identification. Chief Deputy District Attorney Anne Langer attributed the drastic reduction in charges to inconsistencies that would have made the prosecution difficult.
