A service for Diana L. Walker, 47, a Gardnerville resident for the past three years, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Gardnerville.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Thursday and Friday at FitzHenry's Funeral Home in Gardnerville.
Mrs. Walker died July 24, 2000. She was born Aug. 14, 1952, in Yankton, S.D. to Vernon and Arlene Gleich.
She was an alumna of Lutheran High School in Los Angeles, Calif.
Before moving to Gardnerville, she lived in Rancho Palos Verdes/San Pedro, Calif. for 45 years. While living in California, she was employed by Green Hills Mortuary and Memorial Park for 16 years.
Mrs. Walker was very active in Girl Scouts and her church youth group while living in California. She also enjoyed ceramics and gardening.
She was preceded in death by her father Vernon Gleich.
Among her survivors are her husband of 28 years, Archie and son Jonathon, both of Gardnerville; mother Arlene Gleich of Minden; sister Yvonne Arriola of Rancho Palos Verdes; grandmother Myrtle Gleich of Yankton, S.D.; sister and brother-in-law Judi and Manuel Cruz of San Diego, Calif. and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Burial will be at Eastside Memorial Park, Minden.
FitzHenry's Carson Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
