A memorial service for Evelyn M. Burke, 85, a Carson City resident for the past 58 years, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Walton's Chapel of the Valley.
Mrs. Burke died Aug. 1, 2000, at her home. She was born June 10, 1915, in Spokane, Wash., to Charles D. and Evelyn Witney Rutter.
Before moving to Carson City, she lived in Reno and Las Vegas.
Mrs. Burke was a telephone operator for Valley Bank.
Among her survivors are her son James P. Burke of Reno and brother Chuck Rutter of Washington.
Cremation will be at Walton's Sierra Crematory.
Memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley, Crematory and Cemetery is in charge of arrangements.
