Paul Purcell, 64, a Carson City resident for the past 23 years, died July 3, 2000, at Carson-Tahoe Hospital. He was born May 21, 1936, in Long Island, N.Y., to Clarence Thomas and Alice Schroeder Purcell.
Before moving to Carson City, he lived in Redwood Valley, Calif.
Mr. Purcell was an automobile mechanic. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.
Among his survivors are his wife Carol; sons Paul of Dayton and Thomas of Carson City; daughters Diane Marcin and Laurie Rosenberg, both of Carson City and brother Charles of Lake City, Fla. and seven grandchildren.
Cremation will be at Walton's Sierra Crematory.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley, Crematory and Cemetery is in charge of arrangements.
