I have lived in Carson City for only four years. I moved here from Denver. Over the last four years, I have supported little league, girls softball, all the high school sports and Pop Warner Football. I have supported them by attending the games and watching and buying my dinner out at the fields and seeing the kids play.
Out of all the sports, Pop Warner Football coaches treat the kids the worst. I have seen the coaches scream at the kids, have seen kids quit playing because the coaches are mean, some kids never get to play in practice or play in games, and on a recent Friday night, a coach got in a fight over not playing a child four plays. It is a shame that adults need to win more than the kids. My hat's off to the coaches who play their kids in practice and games and the kids come first and foremost.
