LOS ANGELES - A large delivery truck exiting a freeway in the San Fernando Valley went out of control Tuesday night, striking a power pole, then careening into a Pizza Hut restaurant.
The driver, who had to be cut out of the cab of his truck, was taken to a hospital, police said. His name and condition were not immediately available.
The restaurant was evacuated, but no one else was believed hurt when the truck smashed through a wall. It came rest with the cab partly inside the building.
It wasn't clear what caused the truck to lose control as it exited the 405 Freeway about 7 p.m.
