Fernley 67, North Tahoe 29

Jana Prida scored 10 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to begin division play as Fernley crushed visiting North Tahoe 67-29.

The Lakers were held to six points in the first half and just 11 field goals on the night.

"We had a good balance from the beginning and it was a snowball effect.," Fernley coach Dave Burns said.

Freshman Racheal Henderson scored 11 points while Kera Claar added 10, but it was Kim Dunn who was able to find the open player and start a fast-break. "We simply out-ran them," Burns added.

Fernley (5-7) resumes 3A Division I play when it travels to face Tahoe-Truckee at 6 p.m. Friday.
