A caretaker making rounds Monday morning at Fuji Park found the body of a 43-year-old man, who died from an apparent hanging.

Parks and Recreation Department Director Steve Kastens said the body was found hanging from a light tower. "He was pretty shaken up," Kastens said, referring to the caretaker.

The death is believed to be a suicide, said Carson City Detective Mark Marshall. A coroner's report is pending.

Marshall said the man lived in Carson City but not in the neighborhood near the park.
