Annie Brinson set the pace as Bethlehem Lutheran School swept the top three places to capture championship honors in the 7th grade girls division at the Tah-Neva League Cross Country Championships Thursday afternoon in Carson City.
Bethlehem Lutheran compiled 22 points to bring home the championship trophy from the 10-school meet held at Fuji Park.
Brinson ran the 1.6-mile course in a time of 10 minutes, 40 seconds, followed by teammates Amanda Benson and Ali Marson in 11:08.
South Tahoe ran off with team titles in the 7th grade boys and both 8th grade races.
South Tahoe's Zach Powers won the 8th grade boys race with an 11:14 effort over 1.85 miles, followed by Bethlehem Lutheran's Jeffery Martin in 11:39. Amber Ramos of South Tahoe also won the 8th grade girls race in 12:18, followed by Tabitha Adams of Carson Middle School in 12:29. Cody McGehee of South Tahoe won the 7th grade boys race with a 9:56 clocking and Bethlehem Lutheran's Justin Grant was second in 10:14.
