Calligraphy classes offered at WNCC

Local artist Carol Foldvary-Anderson will offer calligraphy A-Z classes for ages 12 and up on Tuesdays at Western Nevada Community College.

Classes are held from 1:30-3 p.m. Tuesday through Aug. 8, with no class on July 4. Cost is $75.

Calligraphy may be just the art style for those who admire hand-written greeting cards, envelopes and poems, or want to improve their own handwriting. Students will be introduced to the basic strokes and forms of calligraphy lettering. This knowledge will help each student to understand all the hands of lettering.
