Clear Creek camp for local groups' use

Clear Creek Youth Camp was built by the federal government as a job corps camp in the mid-1960s. The state has managed it since 1970 and has owned it since 1988.

My belief is that Clear Creek was bought by the state to provide a camp for Nevada's youth groups as well as civic organizations and church groups. NAWA, a California-based snow boarding school, has leased the dorms and is using the dining facilities. This lease runs through May 31, 2000. We were told the NAWA is going to extend their lease. Is that fair for our Nevada state and local groups that want to plan and enjoy all the facilities?

Please help us get our Clear Creek back from the California group and help our Nevada children.
