Feather River College will try to stay in the Golden Valley Conference baseball title hunt today when it visits College of the Siskyous in Weed, Calif.
The Golden Eagles are 12-3-1 in conference (22-7-1 overall) after splitting a doubleheader against College of the Redwoods last Saturday in Eureka, Calif. Jeremy Kinney, a Dayton High School graduate, pitched a seven-hit shutout as Feather River beat Siskyous 2-0 in the second game against Redwoods. Kinney now boasts a 4-0 season record.
Siskyous scored twice in the bottom of the ninth to beat Feather River in game one, 7-6.
Feather River returns home next Saturday, April 22, to play Lassen in a showdown for first-place against Lassen in Quincy, Calif. The doubleheader is scheduled to start at noon.
