The public is invited to a free program entitled "Model Railroad Manufacturing Revisited" on Wednesday at the Nevada State Railroad Museum presented by staff of Model Die Casting, Inc. The illustrated talk will begin at 7 p.m. "Producing model railroad kits is basically a lot of people doing a lot of things by hand," says Keith Work, production manager at Model Die Casting. "It's not an automated deal."
The Friends of the Nevada State Railroad Museum present a free educational program the second Wednesday of each month. Upcoming talks will cover the stranding of the Southern Pacific's train The City of San Francisco in 1952, and an update on the museum's restoration efforts. On Wednesday nights in July and August, the museum shows movies outside in the park.
