Carson City sheriff's deputies arrested a Carson City man Wednesday afternoon who investigators believe was involved in document forgery.

Lee Andrew Courneya, 31, was arrested on suspicion of possession of stolen property, drugs, paraphernalia and forged checks, after a search of his residence in the 1800 block of North Moody Street. Deputies also confiscated a computer believed to have been used in check forgery.

Investigators found alleged altered checks from area businesses and individuals. Items, including car stereos reportedly missing after area auto burglaries, were also found.

Courneya was being held on $25,000 bail.
