Many hunting seasons to open or close

A large number of different Nevada big game hunting seasons will be either opening or closing in the near future.

They are:

- Dec. 11 - Opening day of the rifle buck mule deer hunting season in big game management area Nos. 015 and 021. This season will close on Jan. 1.

- Dec. 11 - Opening day of the muzzleloader Rocky Mountain antlerless elk hunting season in big game management area Nos. 111, 221 and 222. This season will close on Dec. 26.

- Dec. 11 - Opening day of the desert bighorn sheep hunting season for big game management areas Nos. 281 and 282. This season will close on Jan. 2.

- Dec. 12 - Closing day of the muzzleloader buck mule deer hunting season in big game management area Nos. 201, 202, 204-206.

- Dec. 12 - Closing day of the desert bighorn sheep hunting season for all open big game management areas, except for Nos. 281 and 282.

- Dec. 12 - Closing day of the rifle Rocky Mountain antlerless elk hunting season in big game management area No 231-Early.

- Dec. 13 - Opening day of the archery buck mule deer hunting season in big game management area Nos. 201, 202, 204-206. This season will close on Jan. 2.

- Dec. 18 - Opening day of the rifle Rocky Mountain antlerless elk hunting season in big game management area No. 231-Late. This season will close on Jan. 16.

- Dec. 19 - Closing day of the rifle Rocky Mountain antlerless elk hunting season in big game management area No 262.

- Dec. 26 - Closing day of the muzzleloader Rocky Mountain antlerless elk hunting season in big game management area Nos. 111, 221 and 222.

Note: Only those hunters who were successful in drawing tags through the Nevada computerized drawing system are eligible to hunt.
