The Nevada State Museum is presenting a free seminar on 200 Years of Doll Makers and Their Art by guest lecturer Patty Jones of Boise, Idaho, Saturday April 29 from 10 a.m.-noon at the Carson Nugget on the second floor in the Nugget Ballroom.
Jones is an advanced doll collector, historian, preservationist and lecturer. Her vast collection includes all like and manner of dolls. In addition to the free program, there will be a display which will include examples of all dolls and accessories mentioned in the seminar. Information will also be available on Reno and Carson City area doll-repair people. The event will conclude with a raffle of a large late 1800s Bisque German doll and a set of six Madame Alexander Little Women dolls as well as a short question and answer session.
