Obituary: Evelyn Hansen Beeson

A family memorial service for Evelyn Hansen Beeson, 84, a long-time Reno resident, will be at 11 a.m. today at Mountain View Cemetery.

Mrs. Beeson died March 19, 2000, at her residence. She was born April 9, 1915, in Glendale, Calif., to Lavina and Edward Hansen.

Mrs. Beeson worked at St. Mary's Hospital, Washoe Medical Center and the library at the University of Nevada, Reno.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Beverly, and granddaughter, Lisa.

Among her survivors are her daughter and son-in -law, Carol and Gordy Cronenberger, of Carson City; granddaughters, Loni Holley of Weeks, Wendy Sweet, of Colorado Springs, Colo., Karen Riley, Julie O'Leary, Peggy Navarette and Jennifer Dankers, all of Reno; 10 great-grandchildren and several cousins.

Memorial contributions may be made to a scholarship in her name through the University of Nevada-Reno Foundation Fund, 102 Morrill Hall/162, Reno 89557.

Cremation will be at Northern Nevada Memorial Cremation & Burial Society.
