A graveside service for John Albert Key, 81, a Silver Springs resident, will be at 2 a.m. today at Desert Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Silver Springs.
A viewing was held Tuesday.
Mr. Key died June 17, 2000, at his home. He was born March 2, 1919, in Colfax, Wash., to John Wesley and Mabel Weaver Key. He was raised by his grandparents, Elmer and Elizabeth Weaver of Fallon.
Mr. Key was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Marion Richard (Ace).
Among his survivors are his wife of 50 years, Phyllis Sample; daughters, Elizabeth D. Rose of Ely and Janine I. Weekly of Carson City; sons, Brian E. of Silver Springs and John P. of Carson City; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
The family requests no flowers.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley, Crematory and Cemetery, is in charge of arrangements.
