Obituary: John Brady Punchard

A memorial service for John Brady Punchard, 67, a Carson City resident for the past 30 years, will be at 4 p.m. Thursday at the Loyalton Social Hall in Loyalton, Calif.

Mr. Punchard died Dec. 11, 1999, at his residence. He was born April 10, 1932, in Sicily Island, La., to George Felcer and Mary Powers Punchard.

Before moving to Carson City, he lived in Bastrop, La.

Mr. Punchard worked in school maintenance. He was a Little League coach and he enjoyed gardening and all kinds of sports.

Among his survivors are his sons, Nathan, of Fallon and Gary, of Pittsburg, Calif.; daughters, Kathy D'Andrea of Reno and Joy Bernard of Templeton, Calif.; brother, Billy, of Winnsboro, La.; sisters, Lois Morace, of Bastrop, La., Faye Punchard, of Jay, Fla., and Louise Bonner, of Panama, Fla.; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Cremation will be at Walton's Sierra Crematory.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Northern Nevada, St. Mary's Foundation, 809 Plaza St., Carson City 89701.

Walton's Chapel of the Valley, Crematory and Cemetery, is in charge of arrangements.
