A funeral for John McNeil Rose, 68, a Dayton resident for the past 37 years, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at FitzHenry's Funeral Home.
Mr. Rose died Feb. 19, 2000, at Washoe Medical Center. He was born June 27, 1931, in Sedalia, Mo., to John and Irma Love Rose.
Mr. Rose was a manager for AT&T and he also owned Mount Como Archery in Dayton. He was a member of the Pony Express Association, the American Legion and Ducks Unlimited.
He served in the U.S. Marine Corps for two years at Camp Pendleton, Calif. and Camp Lejeune, N.C.
He was preceded in death by his father John A. Rose and mother Irma Filker.
Among his survivors are his wife Zona Means of Dayton; son Terry of Mesa, Ariz.; daughter Connie Fleckenstein of Yerington; brother B.J. of Sedalia; sister Gayle Werneke of Belton, Mo.; four grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Burial will be at Lone Mountain Cemetery.
FitzHenry's Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
