Manuel A. Silva, 90, a Dayton resident for the past 28 years, died Jan. 5, 2000, at his residence. He was born June 30, 1909, in Portugal, to Manuel and Philomena Gosalves Silva.
Before moving to Dayton, he lived in Fremont, Calif.
Mr. Silva was a retired auto upholsterer. He liked to garden and make crafts for his children and grandchildren.
Among his survivors are his wife, May, and son, David, both of Dayton; daughters, Betty Reganold, of Anacortes, Wash., Eleanor Asmand, of Stockton, Calif. and Mary Ann Moen, of Ridgecrest, Calif.; sister, Mary Silva, of E. Providence, R.I.; 14 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
No service will be held.
Cremation will be at FitzHenry's Crematory.
FitzHenry's Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
