A Mass of Christian burial for Richard Nelson Meyer, 69, a Carson City resident for the past 41 years, will be at 11 a.m. Friday, at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church.
Rosary will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at St. Teresa of Avila.
Mr. Meyer died March 27, 2000, at his residence. He was born Nov. 25, 1930, in Dewitt, Iowa, to Marvin Lee Meyer and Mildred Bernita Quigley.
He married Roberta Davis March 13, 1959, in Reno.
He graduated from St. Joseph High School in Dewitt, Iowa, in 1949.
Before moving to Carson City, he lived in DeWitt.
Mr. Meyer was a systems programmer with the State of Nevada Department of Data Processing. He enjoyed traveling and wood working. He was a member of St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church, and he served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict as a machine accountant.
Among his survivors are his wife, Roberta, of Carson City; sons, Keith, of Las Vegas and Steven, of Reno; and brother, Reid, and sister, Maryann Randall, both of Carson City.
Private family inurnment will be at Lone Mountain Cemetery.
Cremation will be at FitzHenry's Crematory.
