Postal carriers will be holding their annual food drive today.
Carrier Mike McLeod said carriers all over the country are participating the drive.
"The food goes to FISH," McLeod said. He said anyone interested in donating should put non-perishable food in a bag and put it next to their mailbox.
Carriers collected 23,000 pounds in Carson City last year.
"Put it right by the mail box and we'll pick it up," he said.
The food drive is sponsored by the National Association of Letter Carriers.
