Carson City BMX will be hosting its annual Race for Life on June 16 at the Edmonds Sports

Complex. Signups are from 5-6 p.m., with racing to commence as soon as possible. Entry fee is $10. American Bicycle Association members as well as non-ABA members are eligible to ride in the Race for Life. This is the only race where non-ABA members can race.

All proceeds raised will benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. The Race for Life is one of the largest single fund-raising events for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and its mission to cure leukemia, lymphoma and its blood-related cancers. Last year's Race for Life at local tracks around the United States raised more than $250,000 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

Carson City BMX is an ABA affiliated track. The ABA was founded in 1977 and is the world's largest BMX sanctioning body with more than 60,000 active members. It puts out a monthly publication, 254 local BMX tracks, a 27-race national series and a weekly TV show. The ABA sanctions more than 10,000 local events.

Carson City BMX and the ABA encourage all BMX enthusiasts to come and join the fight against leukemia and lymphoma. For further information regarding Carson City BMX, the ABA or the Race for Life contact Mary Learning at 246-3660 by Joy Hexberg at 883-2395.
