Two men involved in a September armed robbery pleaded guilty to separate charges in District Court on Monday and will likely serve lengthy prison sentences.
Jason Daniel Torres, 20, pleaded guilty to using a deadly weapon in the commission of a robbery. Douglas Paul Morgan, 37, pleaded guilty to robbery. Torres could serve up to 10 years with a $10,000 fine while Morgan's plea could get him as much as 15 years.
The two were arrested in a Plaza Motel room while Tri-Net narcotics agents were watching for possible drug activity. At the time, agents said they intervened to prevent injuries.
At the hearing, Torres said, "The best I can remember, I pulled a gun on the guy and it was during a robbery at a hotel room."
Sentencing is set for Feb. 14.
