A man who pleaded guilty to driving without a license in traffic court Tuesday evening shouldn't have been surprised when he was pulled over after driving away from the courthouse. But he should have left the drugs at home.

Moises Ortiz-Manuelos, 23, was charged with driving without a license and criminal contempt for going against the order of Justice of the Peace Robey Willis. When the arresting Nevada Highway Patrol trooper searched the car, he reportedly found more than 28 grams of methamphetamine.

If he is found guilty of the drug-trafficking offense, it could net Ortiz-Manuelos a life sentence.

Bail was set at $250,000 pending review at a justice court first appearance.

Ortiz-Manuelos received a fine after admitting driving unlicensed.
