Painting a travel journal in watercolor is being offered in a workshop at WNCC Douglas on Friday. This workshop will teach artists how to plan for and create an illustrated journal of their trip or everyday life, including page layout and note-taking. If the weather is good, the class will move outside to paint.

The class will be held at the WNCC Douglas campus from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Friday and is the only watercolor workshop offered in the summer session. This is a non-credit class and students must sign up this week to reserve a space. The one-day workshop costs $35. A supply list is available at the WNCC Douglas office.

The instructor, Chris Olesen, has painted in watercolor for 20 years and has kept illustrated journals for over 12 years.

The WNCC fall session will offer four watercolor workshops. Contact WNCC Douglas, 1680 Bently Parkway, Minden, for more information, 782-2413.
