John L. Czliz, 76, a Carson City resident for the past 10 years, died Dec. 16, 2001, in Reno. He was born July 14, 1925, in Paris, France.
He was educated in Paris.
Before moving to Carson City, he lived at Lake Tahoe for 20 years.
Mr. Czliz was a retired salesman. He was a member of Mission Masonic Lodge 169 and vice president of the Carson City Seniors Bowling League.
He served as a U.S. Army paratrooper in World War II.
Among his survivors are his companion and dear friend Irene K. Baptista; children Steve and Sue Baptista and three grandchildren.
Burial will be at Homestead Cemetery at South Lake Tahoe.
