A memorial service for Richard Jordan Housel, 29, a Carson City resident for the past 27 years, will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Walton's Chapel of the Valley.
Mr. Housel died July 16, 2001, at his home. He was born Feb. 15, 1972, in Anaheim, Calif., to Victor Housel and Connie Rockman.
Mr. Housel worked in sheet metal construction for heating and air conditioning. He enjoyed playing softball and spending time with his children. He was a Lutheran and a past member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Carson City.
He was preceded in death by his brother William Housel in 2000.
Among his survivors are his father Victor, of Carson City; mother Connie Rockman of Ann Arbor, Mich.; sons Spencer, of Carson City and Landon, of Oregon; daughter Morgan, of Oregon; sisters Katie Housel, of Ann Arbor and Amanda Housel of Incline Village.
Cremation will be at Walton's Sierra Crematory.
