The Carson High volleyball team solidified its position in second place in the Sierra League with a 15-5, 15-2, 15-5 win over Hug on Saturday.
"We're staying on track to try to fight for the first or second seed in our half of the division," Carson coach Daryl James said. "I'm pretty happy with how we're playing. The kids are staying focused and taking care of things."
Rachael DeRiemer had 11 kills and two blocks, Tabitha Adams had 33 assists, three kills and three digs, Shannon Devereaux had six kills, Megan Anderson had four kills, Alyssa Wilson had three kills, two blocks and served for two aces, Teri Niederer had three kills and three blocks, Kaitlin Brush and Rosalia Nunez each had two kills and Talia Joyce served for two aces for the Senators (9-3).
