According to a press release from the Nevada Division of Wildlife (NDOW), everything you ever wanted to know about the current condition and status of Nevada big game herds can be found in a 200 page document printed by NDOW.
The 8 1/2 by 11 inch document sells for $10 at all NDOW offices throughout the state.
It details the condition and status of the following big game species:
Pronghorn Antelope.
Mule Deer.
Rocky Mountain elk.
Rocky Mountain goat.
California bighorn sheep.
Desert bighorn sheep.
Rocky Mountain bighorn sheep.
Mountain lion.
Over 140 pages delve into detail, concerning each big game species found in over 110 hunt units throughout the state.
Information includes population estimates, population trends, past harvest success, average size of animals harvested, habitat conditions, weather, production and recruitment.
There are over 50 pages of harvest, survey, population and tag drawing tables covering the different animal species.
