Private services will be held in Gardnerville for Eric Colter Daphne, 22, of Reno, who died Sept. 6, 2001, from injuries sustained during a motorcycle accident.
Mr. Daphne was born May 18, 1979, in Carson City to Lane LePera and Kres Daphne.
Mr. Daphne was employed by Loomis Fargo Armored Transport as a driver and security guard while he pursued his dream of becoming a police officer. He had just passed the entrance examination to be a Washoe County Reserve officer and the prison guard examination.
He is survived by his mother, brother Nick, sisters Jolene and Karis all of Gardnerville; friends Dominic Peruzzaro and Alex Voight; and his father Lane LePera, of Incline Village.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Charles Armstrong School, 1405 Solana Drive, Belmont, Calif., 94002.
Walton's Funeral Home of Reno is in charge of arrangements.
