The Carson girls soccer team scored four goals in the first seven minutes on its way to a 7-0 win over Hug on Tuesday.
Carson improved to 7-0 with the win. Krissy Katzorke scored in the first 29 seconds for the Senators, which settled for a 4-0 halftime lead.
"What we were trying to work on was basically our passing," Carson coach Mike Popp said.
Carson's goalie, Krissy Rose, played in the field and had two goals in the second half. Also scoring for the Senators were Emily Maier, Katie Kotter, Erin Stieber and Ali Bannister. Maier, Stieber, Tiffany Spell and Kotter all had assists as well.
Stieber had three saves and Allison Kop had two saves at goalie in the second half while Rose had one save in the first half.
"They did have their chances of scoring," Popp said. "Hug did a pretty decent job out there."
Popp also praised the defensive play of Kop. "She just takes charge in the back line," he said. "People on the team respect her. We just really have a strong defense."
