Holly Peck of Gardnerville ran a time of 3 hours, 7 minutes and 43 seconds to lead a group of local entries in the 106th Boston Marathon on Monday.

Peck, 37, finished as the 118th woman and was 2,249th overall in the 26.2-mile Patriots Day race. She ran the second half of the course faster than the first (1:30:46 for the last 13.1 miles) to finish at a pace of 7:18 per mile.

"I couldn't run in the beginning because there were 8,000 people in front of me," said Peck, who was in her fifth marathon. "It was like wall to wall people."
